Write 5 pages regarding the topic of the commodification of art, use academic articles. I have attached an academic paper to get you started.
TOPIC: The (ongoing and across different periods of time) influence of commercialization on creativity and cultural value.
PART ONE: Define the Topic and Establish There’s an Issue (20 points)
Using complete sentences, answer the following questions:
- At this point in time, how are you defining your topic?
- Who’s involved? What’s involved? Where is it happening/presenting the most significant challenges? Why does it matter (especially to you)?
- What are the critical terms, concepts, events and people (experts/activists/protesters) you’ve come across most often? What did you find in your “AI Session on Tuesday, 2/18”?
- What evidence exists that there’s a problem that needs to be addressed? What evidence establishes and confirms there’s a problem, and that the problem is in need of a solution?
As an example, if your topic focused on the need to more effectively train teachers who work with neurodivergent populations, you would first need to establish that there’s a dearth of training available for teachers, that there’s been an increase the number of students who are neurodivergent (quantitative data: percentages/statistics), and provide evidence of how neurodivergent students are impacted by this lack of effective training for educators (qualitative data).
- What numbers/statistics (quantitative evidence), or qualitative evidence (interviews/survey data) establish that there’s a problem/issue that must be addressed (your topic)?
Each paragraph must include a minimum of 2 in-text citations from sources you include in your Working References (Francisco, 2022, p. 27).
PART TWO: Chronicle and Review Research on the Topic (20 points)
Using complete sentences, answer the following questions:
- Use a chronological approach, to identify the studies, researchers and significant events that allow you to trace the development of your topic over time. Refrain from traveling back in time more than 100 years.
- Prioritize the historical context that’s relevant to your audience understanding the complexity of the topic you’ve researched.
- Rather than listing and summarizing sources in order, offer your analysis of the patterns, turning points, and key debates that determined the development of your topic. Offer an interpretation of how and why the studies, researchers and significant events you present occurred.
Each paragraph must include a minimum of 2 in-text citations (“Breakthrough Cycles,” 2023, p. 77).
