SOCW1 (2300) ASSIGNMENT TASK:
You are required to complete the following three tasks:
Task 1:
Critically analyse two different contemporary international human resource (IHR) issues in the business environment of one chosen international organisation.
Task 2:
Conduct a comparative analysis of how cultural encounters/challenges would impact one international human resource practice (Global HR functions & strategy; performance management systems; reward systems; global talent management; outsourcing and off-shoring) in two different countries in which your chosen international organisation operates.
Task 3:
Propose viable and justifiable recommendations/strategies to effectively manage the contemporary issues and cultural challenges in your chosen organisations’ global workforce (Consider at least 2 recommendations/strategies per issue/challenge)

Presentation, Structure & Communication (10%)
- Logical structure, presentation, and appropriate use of headings (5%).

Content, critical analysis and evaluation (65%)
- Depth and criticality of the analysis of the two contemporary IHRM issues (20%)
- Comparative analysis of cultural differences impacting international human resource practice (10%)
- Evaluation of practical recommendations/strategies for contemporary IHRM issues and cultural challenges that demonstrate effective
contribution to the organisations’ global workforce. (30%)
- Insightful conclusion that flows from confident analysis and evaluation (5%)
Application of IHRM related literature, empirical research & examples; referencing (25%) - Integration of relevant theoretical concepts, empirical evidence, and practical examples (15%)
- References (10%)
