INTRODUCTION

This is a final year module that will draw on student learning undertaken during their Level 4 and Level 5 study. The module provides students with a substantial amount of independence in how a project is designed and produced.

The opportunity to undertake a more substantial project offers students the opportunity to consolidate their academic experience, knowledge and skills gained during their programme of study. In common with the UA92 ethos of providing industry informed experiential learning, the projects are intended to be rooted in contemporary, real- world issues.
The project can take the form of a practical project or written dissertation.

All students will be assigned a project supervisor. This will be a member of staff from the Computer Science teaching team. The supervisor will provide support and guidance throughout the project assessment via individual meetings / tutorials.

Students will meet regularly with their supervisor to discuss their progress.

Implementation outputs: The number/length of practical implementation outputs will be discussed and agreed with your supervisor.

Practical Project Report  2000 words (+/- 10%) and Reflection – 500 words +/- 10%

Word count: 4500 words +/- 10%.

Additional information:

You are expected to use the background information and relevant theory to illustrate your responses.

You are to critically analyse and assess literature relevant to your area of research and demonstrate strong data collection and analysis techniques.
