ASSESSMENT ITEM 1: DESCRIPTION
Students are expected to complete one (1) quiz during the teaching period. The quiz will examine weeks 1-2 inclusive and will consist of twenty (20) multiple choice questions and will be similar in nature to the tutorial and self-study questions listed in the subject calendar. The quiz aims to ensure that the foundations of general accounting are understood, so that students have the knowledge and understanding to progress with further subject material that builds on this foundation

SLO2: Develop an understanding of an ability to prepare basic accounting statements such as the statement of financial position and the statement of financial performance.
ASSESSMENT ITEM 2: INDIVIDUAL REPORT
to develop skills to conduct a vertical, horizontal and ratio analysis of an Australian listed company. to develop skills to interpret and explain in written form the two (2) year performance of a company covering 2021 and 2023 based on the vertical, horizontal and ratio analysis, and other relevant factors that become evident when analysing the company’s annual reports.
